2011 Softails are being recalled for minor fix

HARLEY-DAVIDSON is recalling 6,964 Softail model motorcycles manufactured from June 7 though October 8, 2010 which have had a security system installed as an accessory item.  The Body Control Module (BCM) (part # 69991-11 AND 69993-11.)

The BCM has a case which may not have been properly sealed during production and which may allow water intrusion into the BCM causing the engine to stall.

If the engine should stall in traffic, the operator may lose control, resulting in a crash which could be fatal.
