Rumble for Kids in Georgia

The Georgia Faith Riders organization and Great South Harley Davidson in Newnan are supporting, “Rumble for Kids,” a motorcycle ride benefiting the Palmetto, Ga.-based Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes on May 21.

The ride will start at Great South Harley Davidson, located at 185 E. Hwy. 16 south of Newnan, and ends at the Meansville Campus where lunch will be served.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the ride beginning at 10:45 a.m. Registration is $25 for a single rider and $35 for a rider with a passenger. Lunch will be served and is included in registration fee. For more information call 770-463-3800.

Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries, Inc. is one of the oldest childcare agencies in Georgia. Since 1872, Georgia Baptist Children’s Home has been reaching out to hurting children and broken families. Each year, hundreds of children and families receive assistance through our statewide campus residential programs, group home care, substance abuse treatment center, maternity care, camp for children with developmental disabilities and farm-based therapeutic riding programs.

 

“Share the Road” license plate coming to Wisconsin

What you should know. via WisDOT

  • Harley-Davidson/Share the Road license plates feature regular numbers or a personalized message.
  • A $25 annual donation supports motorcycle, moped and motor bicycle safety programs and activities administered by WisDOT. The donation may be tax-deductible if you itemize your income tax returns.
  • A $15 fee is required when non-personalized Harley-Davidson/Share the Road plates are issued or reissued.
  • A $15 fee is required EACH year in addition to the regular annual registration fee and donation for personalized plates.
  • Per state law, only the following vehicles qualify for Harley-Davidson/Share the Road license plates:
    • Automobiles
    • Motor homes (annual registration only)
    • Motor trucks
      • 4,500, 6,000 or 8,000 pound gross weight including dual purpose farm and dual purpose motor home
      • 12,000 pound gross weight farm truck
