best of the beach bike show 2013The Lawbike Best of the Beach Bike show, hosted by USRiderNews in Panama City Beach is set for May 3, 2014.   The show will once again be held in beautiful Pier Park.  A total of $15,000 in cash and prizes will be given away.

USRiderNews will award a Kindle Fire to some lucky participant or spectator at 4:30 pm on Saturday afternoon after the awards have been announced.

LawBike returns as the title sponsor after a very successful show in the Autumn.  Robert McNally, of LawBike in Panama City said, “We’re excited to once again be the title sponsor for the premier bike show on the Emerald Coast.”

The winner of Best of Show receives $1,000 cash from LawBike.

Joe Biggs, president of Thunder Beach Productions said, “USRiderNews has built The Best of the Beach into a world class bike show and we’re looking forward to another awesome event.”

Day of event registration for the Spring show begins Saturday May 3rd  at 9:00am and continues to 12:00 pm. Due to the heavy rally traffic, participants are encouraged to enter Pier Park from Hwy 98, or Back Beach Road as the locals refer to it and arrive by noon to have time to register their bike and get it set before cut off.  The show’s location has moved to the Main Street in the middle of Pier Park.

The show is sanctioned by Thunder Beach and is peer judged by the participants.  Cochran said peer judging is new this year.  “Each participant will choose the class that best suits their bike based on the criteria we setup.  Then they judge the other bikes in their class and choose one bike from all entries to be the Best of Show.  The only restriction is they cannot vote for their own bike.”

Due to the large number of entries, and the time constraints, judging begins at 12 noon.   All bikes must be able to be started to be eligible for prizes.

Companies that are awarding gift certificates are;

Kuryakyn, Custom Dynamics, Jireh Cycles, HHI, RC Components,  Renegade Wheels.    Best Western awards $50 and $25 gift cards to 2nd and 3rd place winners in each class.  Wizards Products provides FREE cleaning products to every bike entered in the show (valued $20)   (subject to change without notice)

MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio, Nov 18, 2010 — Bikers who’ve dreamed of hitting the open road with Progressive’s always happy-to-help sales clerk, Flo, now have the opportunity to do just that at the Progressive International Motorcycle Shows(R). The 12-city powersports tour is sponsored by Progressive, the country’s number-one provider of motorcycle insurance.

At the Flo photo booth, riders can hop on a bike next to a virtual Flo and get their photos taken against a variety of backdrops, including a highway, desert or mountains, or, for the more adventurous, under the sea or on top of the moon. Bikers can then immediately share their photos with friends by uploading them to the Progressive Open Road Experience on Facebook.

“Being the title sponsor of the Progressive International Motorcycle Shows gives us a great opportunity to interact with motorcycle enthusiasts face-to-face in fun, new ways,” said Dawn Boston, advertising specialist at Progressive. “We invite all show attendees to stop by and say hello.”

In addition to getting their photos taken with Flo, show attendees can:

Share their opinions and see how they compare to other riders by answering questions like “What’s your favorite riding route?”, “How many tattoos do you have?” and “What’s your favorite bike rally?” As attendees respond, their answers will appear in real-time on large screens so they can see how their opinions compare with those of others. Win prizes including a helmet bag, lip balm, tire gauge, T-shirt or sunglasses. One lucky person at each show will win a $400 gift certificate from bikebandit.com for a custom leather jacket.
