I was just ready to get rid of my Harleys and make the big move to Victory. I own 2 Harleys and a Victory V92C. Now, after reading a couple of articles that confirm that Victory intends to move some production of parts to foreign soil, Why would I make the move? I was set to go sign papers on a new Cross Country. Im calling them back to say NO THANKS. I wanted an American made motorcycle. I liked the fact that Victory was made in the USA as well as the way it rides and handles. I cannot tell you in words how dissappointed I am with Polarises decision.

I dont spike spansh.nore do any vic owners I know. I liked the brand as the alteritve to HD. Now a nother corpert idit to macsimise his pay check is moving the company. I take pride in the fact victory is or was a amrican brand NOW THAY WONT TO TAKE THAT FROM US. Whear is thear pride. Not with us avadently. I cant say anymore with out cussing and that seams pointless.

If Victory builds engines or anything in Mexico they will never recover from the lose of thier loyal customers and those looking for “the other american motorcycle”!

The motorcycles will be built in the U.S. They will build some ATV’s in Mexico. I still don’t aprove moving manufacturing out of the U.S. when Americans need work.

I have quite a few questions about this move, but three or four stand out the most.
1) Will you discount the price of the final American production of bikes so everyone can get one before you cut your own throats?

2) How much will you have to pay the cartels to keep your operations open when they rule Mexico or it goes communist?

3) Will the new, “realigned” company be called The Victory Cartel or the Polaris Cartel?.

4)If it’s cheap Mexican labor you want, why not just move it to Texas, Arizona or New Mexico where it’s plentiful?

I agree that this is not a viable plan for Victory. I think quality will decrease on any product manufactured in Mexico. I think that Victory will lose some customers who are hard-core USA supporters who detest sending US jobs abroad. I also agree that The South might be a good place to relocate manufacturing if Victory is looking to save money … the cost of living is lower in the South, Georgia is a “right to work” state, better climate for both employee living and for outdoor product testing events, access to interstate transportation, and an enormous supply of people looking for good, solid employment. I understand that everyone wants and needs to save money in these trying times but THIS is not the way to improve Victory, it is the way to ruin it. Please reconsider.

If Victory moves production of motorcycle parts to Mexico, it does no good to the company image. We, as Victory riders and owners, want to see American based factories. I know some components are foreign made. Is this move giving another foreign country jobs Americans will do? It likely lowers cost but will it lower consumer support? Georgia, Alabama, or South Carolina are all excellent places for manufacturing. Other than labor what directs manufacturing growth?

Sorry to hear that you are moving to Mexico. I do not think that you will be able to maintain quality control. I'm an Electrician and some of the products ( from Mexico & China ) that I have use are not as good as American made. Maybe you could move to the southern part of the USA instead. As is normal in the CEO part of US Companies, They do not read or leason to workers or costomers. Thank-you US Rider for keeping us informed.

As noted – Victory Freedom V-Twin powerplant production will in fact move to Spirit Lake, Iowa (USA). This will lead to increased efficiencies to a brand of motorcycles already highly rated for quality and design.
